“I referred one of my clients to Johnny and I want to let you know how happy I was to hear that my client finally felt heard and treated appropriately. This has been a long road for him attempting to find relief and although we don't know what the future holds, and Johnny was clear they will likely make adjustments as time goes, the client was happy that he was heard. “

psychiatric services

Our psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners provide specialized, compassionate care for individuals navigating mental and behavioral health challenges. Led by experienced medical professionals licensed in the State of Ohio, our team offers comprehensive services including mental health counseling and psychoeducation, diagnostic assessments, medication management and prescribing, and thoughtful medication regimen reviews.

We take time to understand your history, medical background, stress load, prior treatment experiences, and personal goals before making any recommendations. You will never simply be told what to take—treatment decisions are made together, with a clear review of options, risks, benefits, and alternatives. Your autonomy matters.

Medication can be an important tool in reducing symptoms while also engaging in therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, EMDR, and trauma-informed treatment. While medication may help, it is rarely the entire answer. When beneficial, we integrate psychoeducation, brief therapeutic support, and nervous system regulation strategies into visits to help you better understand the “why” behind symptoms, making treatment feel more empowering and far less intimidating.

Our team works collaboratively with you, your therapist, and your primary care physician to ensure your emotional, psychological, and behavioral needs are met with care and expertise. If you reside in Ohio, we are here to help. Contact us today to schedule an appointment. You do not need to see one of our therapists in order to meet with a psychiatric services or medication management provider. Call 614-948-3273 or email intake-mail@serenity-bhs.org to schedule an appointment today.

We do not prescribe controlled substances at this time.

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing comprehensive psychiatric care and medication management for adults. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma-related symptoms, ADHD, mood instability, sleep concerns, and co-occurring substance use disorders. I also have experience treating more complex mental health conditions, but my primary goal is helping you feel more stable, clear, and supported in your daily life.

Many of the people I work with are high-functioning on the outside but internally overwhelmed, exhausted, or feeling stuck. Others are working to untangle long-standing patterns shaped by trauma or chronic stress. I approach treatment with the understanding that symptoms are not weaknesses — they are often adaptations your nervous system developed to survive difficult ....Read More

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) providing inclusive, holistic, trauma-informed, and evidence-based psychiatric care. My work is grounded in the belief that effective treatment begins with listening deeply and understanding each patient as a whole person shaped by their unique life experiences, genetic background, family systems, culture, and environment.

In my practice, I prioritize thorough diagnostic assessment, careful review of medication regimens, and collaborative treatment planning. I work closely with patients to discuss the potential benefits and risks of different treatment options, ensuring decisions are thoughtful, individualized, and aligned with each patient’s goals, values, and stage of life. I aim to create a space where patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care rather than rushed or reduced to a checklist of ....Read More
